Lessons from the book of Ruth

Lessons from the book of Ruth 1 & 2

Most of us are trying to avoid unpleasant situations that are independent of our actions. In order to create a pleasant condition, we leave Bethlehem (House of bread) for Moab (Whoredom nation). And instead of the lasting comfort we desire, it’s been woes upon woes. In the process of time, we lost our Elimelech (God is King or the rulership of God in our lives), also our Mahlon and Chilion.

Yet, we think God has destined us, for all these sufferings. Even what we initially fear, is nothing compared to what has befallen us. Our once upon a time Naomi (pleasant conditions) has now degraded to Mara (bitter conditions).

Despite all these, there’s HOPE saith the LORD.

Habakkuk 3:17,18,19
Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines, even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren, even though the flocks die in the fields and the cattle barns are empty.Yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation. The sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer (i.e gives me the speed of a deer) able to tread upon the heights.”

Whatever the situation is, whether self inflicted or by reason of circumstance, God is able to turn it around for your good.

Remember, all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
